Case reports are just that, a report on a particular orthodontic case. With that said I hope you will find this report interesting and thought provoking. Justin is a 14 year old male in apparently good health. He presented to my office for an orthodontic evaluation which revealed a disfigured smile. His chief compliant was, “I want my front teeth fixed”. (Fig. 1) His brother Jason was also at my office for an orthodontic evaluation. Being a sibling, Jason stated, “We will need a miracle worker for my brother”.
The intra-oral exam revealed severe anterior crowding with a Class II molar relationship. (Fig. 2 & 3) His cuspid relationship was difficult to evaluate because of the severe crowding but it appeared to also be Class II. He had an overjet of 10mm and an overbite of 30%.
