I would like to present a case I treated a few years ago. The patient was 9 years, 3 months old at the time we began. Her parent’s chief complaint was the “space between her teeth”. Figs. 1–4 show that the patient was of Hispanic ethnicity. She was a dental Class I, had mild crowding, a normal overbite, a 6mm overjet, and a diastema created from her heavy labial frenum. In addition, the patient was Mesocephalic with a GoGn to Sn of 33 degrees and y-axis from SN of 67 degrees, skeletal class I with an ANB of 4.4 degrees and a WITS of -1.4mm, and a normal balanced face with an upper facial height of 49mm and a lower facial height of 66mm.
