Little did I know, when I learned one of the topics for this journal was digital models, how personal this topic would become to me so quickly!! One of the practices I work in recently acquired a new owner so I began cleaning out some stone models to take over to storage. I had not been in this storage unit for over two years. When I opened the door, Figs. 1 and 2 show what I found. No, I did not make this up folks. There were 8 boxes of my stone models that, over the past few years, were not able to support the weight of the models resting on top of them. And yes, those are $50 per set stone models now scattered all over the floor of the unit. What I thought would be a 10 minute visit turned into a 3 hour marathon. Matching models with models – assessing damage – and needing an anger management therapy session filled my time at the unit. But I finally got things back into place and I realized that I probably have enough stored plaster to gravel a five hundred foot driveway or make several swimming pools of white slurry water!
